I played the queen knowing they had 2 in hand, it showed me an assassin and king and did not discard anything. They proceeded to win the game for 3 queens in hand after picking up 1 more. Also had some issues with the replay system this game and others but that's tangential.

You can check the replay.
In Move 72 the assassin and the king were published, but then there was no assassin, it was the king, queen and queen.
hard to check as it's a BGA feature.

Move 45: I play a queen, revealing Assassin + King (so at most 1 queen in opponent's hand).
move 47: Opponent replaces a card, now has at most 2 queens.
Move 48: I play a king, opponent's hand is not affected, still 2 queens.
Then opponent wins with 3 queens in hand.
I've made an update.
Hope all is working well now.
