This is also explained in the German rules as follows: "Wenn du diese Aktion durchführst, ersetzt sie die Standardaktion am Abend (1 Zauber lernen). D. h., dass du keine zusätzliche freie Materia erzeugen kannst, indem du 3 Materia mit derselben Rune ablegst. Du kannst dich immer noch entscheiden, die Standardaktion durchzuführen, aber du kannst nicht beide Effekte kombinieren."
