The interface blocked me to do some game action authorized by the rules
Detailed description
• Which was the game action you wanted to do?
I wanted to hire a tradesman for 2 influence and add them to my ready supply but NOT place them.• What do you try to do to trigger this game action?
I could find no way in the interface to do this. The only time I see the choice to hire a tradesman for 2 influence is when I'm placing a tradesman on a space.• What happened when you try to do this (error message, game status bar message, ...)?
Nothing happened because I couldn't find any way to do it.• What is your browser?

The rules do not indicate that you can only hire a tradesman when you are about to place them. This has also been confirmed by one of the game designers here:

In that same thread there are a few reasons mentioned about why a player may want to do such a thing (there are legitimate reasons why it is permitted).
