What is this report about?
What happened ? Please select from below
Suggestion: in my opinion, the following would greatly improve the game implementation
Detailed description
• Please explain your suggestion precisely and concisely so that it's as easy as possible to understand what you mean.
It is unclear to which user you will be sending your cards, which makes it difficult to decide which card you should play.• What is your browser?
Google Chrome v80

20. Mar 2020 10:43 • To play strategically you need to know who will be getting the cards that are in your hands. It is difficult to determine with the interface as it currently is.
nandblock • This suggestion has not been analyzed by delopers yet:
20. Mar 2020 14:20 • Agreed. Also, in the 2nd round passing should be counter-clockwise, but it seems to be clockwise in all 3 rounds currently.
Serinde_ • This suggestion has not been analyzed by delopers yet:
20. Mar 2020 16:05 • The direction is in the right column between the messages who plays which card. Every round clockwise indeed.
Een • Developers agree that it is a good idea and intend to work on it:
21. Mar 2020 9:22 • Passing follows the player order, so you pass to the next player after you in the player order, and you receive from the player before you in player order.
If you are wondering about the player order, he player panels on the top right and the card played zones are displayed in player order (like for other games on BGA).
The direction is also indicated in the log. We thought it was clear but it has been reported (a few times, not many) so we may add something in the interface to make it easier.
You should also note that if the player variant "both ways" has been selected, the pass order is reversed on the second round. By default, all rounds have the same order (as per the rules).

22. May 2020 19:05 • This issue confused all five players in a recent game. We assumed, and eventually confirmed, it was player order, but the term "clockwise" is confusing when the player boards are arranged vertically. Given the interface design perhaps changing to or adding something like "top to bottom" or "down" would be useful?

23. May 2020 20:10 • I had to play with a few friends in discord, and asked them who got which card in order to figure out how passing works. There should be some kind of indicator...

4. Sep 2020 7:58 • If anyone is curious:
The passing cards are always Clockwise (top to bottom), unless the both ways variant is selected, in which case the second round is Counterclockwise (bottom to top).
This is easy to see, because the side that the cards slide in from.

2. Dec 2020 21:24 • The use of the term "clockwise" when there is no circular arrangement of anything to which it could refer could not be more confusing. Simply replacing this with "top to bottom" would make everything clear.
King of Games • Developers agree that it is a good idea and intend to work on it:
11. May 2021 17:14 • "Clockwise" is nonsense, when there is no circular arrangement. And the cards *must* alternate order in the second round to go the other way.

11. May 2021 17:19 • Correction: The rules do indicate the pass is always to the left. Still, it's not obvious who you are passing to.

14. Mar 2023 22:36 • I just wrote a discussion on the BGA rules wiki for this game because it's completely unclear what "left" and "right" or "clockwise" mean when the players are arranged vertically.

But now seeing this discussion with response from admins, I'm going to change the rules wiki to make it clearer about the direction.
This bug has 100+ votes. That's not a small amount, as King of Games noted above.

24. Mar 2023 0:25 • Happy third birthday to this bug. The word "clockwise" is completely meaningless in this game interface. Changing it to "top to bottom" would be the work of a few seconds. It is pretty unbelievable that three years have passed and this trivial fix has still not been done.
