Did someone already have a Yahtzee? The Joker rule says that if you've already scored a Yahtzee and the number (eg 2-2-2-2-2 is rolled and you already ave 50 for a Yahtzee and some Twos) then it becomes a wildcard for straights and full house.

This just happened to me. Opponent took a zero for Yahtzee on move #63. Opponent rolled 5 2s on roll #68 and received "Joker rules apply." Was then able to take points for large straight on move #69.

So I actually looked up the official rules (which I should have done before posting). The Joker Rules are separate from the Yahtzee Bonus. One does not have to get a Yahtzee bonus to take advantage of the Joker rules.

"If you roll a YAHTZEE and have already entered a zero in the YAHTZEE box, you do not earn a YAHTZEE bonus; however, you must fill in one of the 13 boxes on your score card according to the JOKER RULES below."

A few times I have had a 5 of a kind be accepted as +40 in large straight

Had the same issue in my last competition mode game. A second Five of a kind activated big straight as well and the player has chosen that, earned 40 points for big straight AND 100 bonus for second Five of a kind. Very annoying bug, especially in an tournament game.

This is not a bug. If you make a second Yahtzee, you can use it as a joker to fill other spots. This is true even if you had previously zeroed your Yahtzee space
