One thing I noticed is that there is a valid placement check when you move a tile to your board, making the piece red if it won't fit as per the rules. However, this check only happens when moving the tile, not when flipping or rotating. It would be helpful to have the check happen on flip or rotate as well.

I refreshed the page and it allowed me to place the patch in the place I was trying before.
The valid placement check however does work whenever I move a piece into position, this only occurs with rotating a piece.
