I had 4 purple pieces before red claimed the bottom purple building. I still have my roof for purple. There is plenty of space available to use my purple tiles. However after red claimed the building, the message was "All 'purple palaces' are claimed, discarding all remaining blocks if any", and it threw away my blocks.
