Detailed description

• Please copy/paste the error message you see on your screen, if any.
I know this is probably an heresy, dont throw rotten eggs to me... let's say i am just brainstorming...
Would it be conceivable to have a "fast start version"?
What I usually feel is that the first 2/3 of the game are spent aimlessly placing the first walls.
There could be an option to randomly put the first, don't know..., 25% of the walls, avoiding to leave boxes with already 3 walls.

Report history
1) faster
2) every beginning is different, giving a (false?) sense of variety
3) I guess not terribly complicated to implement
Cons:
1) not the classic game
2) not sure how to avoid possible bias toward one or the other players
I'm sure the 2/3 of the game seems aimless to the non-initiated (to whom I more or less belong too, so I know rather well the feeling).
1) When discussing the details of the pie rule with the top DnB players on Little Golem (where arguably the strongest living DnB players meet), it has been implied that after the first approx. 5 moves of a 5x5 game (60 moves) the game is often already +/- oriented toward one of the player. In fact who plays first in the 5x5 game IS already winning (this is why I have implemented, as far as I know for the first time in the history of this game, a pie rule).
But this is simply a matter of not being very familiar with the strategy of the game. I have a very similar feeling while playing Chess (in which I am less than simply non-initiated!). Would you suggest a Chess implementation in which the first _n_ moves are random?
2) The second con you quote (how to avoid favouring either player with random moves) is a BIG con: in practice those 15 random moves (out of 60) would decide the game instead of the players! This would transform the game from a random-free, total information game into an almost purely chance game.
These are the major reasons why I deeply disagree with this (ingenuous!) proposal; I'm sure over time I could think of others!
thx for the explanation and ur time
W.
