I used catalogue empire asset and I didn't receive any money• Is the rules violation visible on game replay? If yes, at which move number?

I did it twice in this game as I was not sure for the first time if the money did not go to a different location then it supposed to go, but no - the money was taken by government ;)

I already know it's not a bug - the money is given with income after selling.
I would recommend though to create a pop up message that using the asset during operating phase will not give you benefit. Or disable the operation of such asset in such case.

Your are right, this assets is useless when used after the sells since it increase income (and not treasury).
Look a good idea to block the operation and display a message in that particular case. At least players will learn from there mistakes.
